This restoration project is located in the upstream portion of Otay River located in the city of Chula Vista, California. 40 acres of restoration is occurring in a variety of habitats, including a combination of wetlands, floodplains, channels, riparian, and upland habitats. Restoration included successful salvaging and translocation of succulents, dudleya, bulbs, and associated maritime succulent scrub species. An aboveground temporary irrigation system was designed, installed, and maintained by RECON. Over 15,000 container plantings were implemented throughout all habitat types.
